Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) based applications are gaining much of the limelight in recent days. This paper mainly focuses on how to run IOT based technologies with the use of software. IOT based technologies on today's era are gathered a lot of buzz. With the upbringing of ubiquitous computing, these devices could be powered from anywhere around the globe. IOT is powered by Artificial Intelligence for making quick and effective decisions as well as machine learning to make predictions based on the past data. A software emulation application interface which enables us to build logical networks which works as a blueprint for physical infrastructure as well. This paper mainly builds on the idea of running IOT based technology, making use of this software application. The software application is used by making a connection between different IOT devices and a home portal gateway. The main objective of Smart Home Networks is by connecting the devices at our home together so that one can control all the devices from a single device such as a mobile phone. It can be easily checked if the devices are functioning in a correct manner by going to the web browser and then typing the IP address of the Home Gateway. An interface then allows us to check the working of these networked devices. The model depicted in this paper indicates a Smart Home network including a solar panel and battery as well. For this, Cisco Packet Tracer software is used to control the IOT devices by connecting it to a home portal gateway. It is discussed elaborately how to run IOT devices in real life environment by connecting a solar panel and battery as well. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
