Abstract
- In the article "A Highly Sensitive Iontronic Bimodal Sensor with Pressure-Temperature Discriminability for Robot Skin," Geng Yang and co-workers propose a new type of sensor that can detect both pressure and temperature. The sensor's high sensitivity is achieved through the arrangement of electrodes in a compact device structure, a pressure-temperature decoupling mechanism, and a hierarchical compressible microstructure of the iontronic film. This sensor, when used as robot skin, allows the robot to perceive both pressure and temperature, similar to human skin.
