Currents and convergence.

The article presents the highlights of the Association of College and Research Libraries' 12th National Conference held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on April 7-10, 2005. The conference theme was "Currents and Convergence: Navigating the Rivers of Change." Keynote addresses and invited papers from outside the library field offered fresh perspectives and insights on areas of common interest. Conference sessions, posters, and roundtable discussions covered a range of topics including learning styles, scholarly communication, information literacy, and collection management. Other topics that were represented during the conference were new communication technologies, copyright issues, geographic information systems, theater skills for librarians, and promotion and marketing efforts.
