Abstract: The article offers information on the experiences and lessons learned by America's staff during their visit to Rome for the October assembly of the Synod on Synodality. Topics include the sacrifice required for a synodal church, with insights into the personal sacrifices made by delegates and the need for laypeople to be involved at all levels.
