Abstract
- This article discusses the importance of incorporating adult learning principles into corporate diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training. It highlights the increasing number of companies that have committed to DEI and the role of education in their strategies. The article suggests that DEI training should not be approached as a static set of learning objectives, but rather as a collaborative and transformative process. It explores the connections between adult learning theories such as constructivism, transformative learning theory, and andragogy, and their relevance to DEI training. The article concludes by emphasizing the need for ongoing investment and commitment to DEI training and the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives and experiences in the training design.
