Determinants of residents' e-waste recycling behavioral intention: A study from Vijayawada.

Electronic waste or e-waste describes discarded electronical or electronic devices. The purpose of this paper is to explore the residents' awareness on e-waste recycling and determinants of residents' e-waste recycling behavioral outcomes. The data analyzed from 180 questionnaires from the residents of Vijayawada revealed that awareness, attitude towards recycling has shown the positive impact on residents' e-waste behavioral intentions and on the other hand the laws and regulations and the inconvenience in recycling had not much impact on the resident's e-waste behavioral intentions. The demographic variables on recycling behavioral intentions were also discussed in this paper, Furth more results find that the residents are interested in planning on recycling more e-waste and intend to buy more electronic products that can recycled.
