Abstract

A 45-year-old woman experienced a recurrent varicella zoster virus infection after receiving the SARS-COV-2-vaccine-inactivated-Sinovac-Biotech for COVID-19. She developed multiple pruritic vesicles and erythema on her head, neck, and trunk. The woman had a history of varicella in childhood and received the second dose of the vaccine three days before the appearance of symptoms. Reflectance confocal microscopy confirmed the diagnosis of recurrent varicella, and the infection was attributed to the vaccine. The woman was treated with famciclovir, and her lesions resolved after 10 days. [Extracted from the article]
