Abstract

The gas electron multiplier tracker (GTR) was developed and constructed for the J-PARC E16 experiment. The GTR is capable of operating in a high-counting environment of up to 5 kHz/mm 2 . Additionally, its design is optimized to minimize the material budget and maximize acceptance. With high-quality Gas Electron Multiplier (GEM) foils, eight modules composed of 24 chambers were constructed. The gain of each chamber was measured to be over 6000, satisfying the experimental specification. This study provides a comprehensive description of the detector, including its design, assembly procedure, and construction process. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
