Abstract
- The open shop scheduling (OSSP) problem has a significant role in the modern industrial and manufacturing systems. As the problem size increases, existing precise approaches are rarely solvable. Therefore, in this paper, a heuristic approach is developed to solve the open shop scheduling model with large job size in fuzzy environment. The concept of dealing the jobs in a string of two job-blocks which are disjoint to crack given jobs are well throughout considered. The study provided in this paper is to attain an optimum string of blocks in order to diminish the makespan. To check the effectiveness and to confirm the performance, numerous illustrations are generated in MATLAB (2018a). Also, the comparison of the acquired results is made with the existing heuristics proposed by Johnson and Palmer. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
