Abstract
- A 46-year-old woman developed subacute thyroiditis while being treated with pembrolizumab for metastatic uterine epithelioid trophoblastic tumor. She later experienced lack of efficacy during treatment with etoposide, methotrexate, cisplatin, and dactinomycin for the same tumor. The woman had a history of two uncomplicated pregnancies and births before being diagnosed with metastatic uterine epithelioid trophoblastic tumor. After receiving chemotherapy and undergoing surgery, she started pembrolizumab treatment, which resulted in the resolution of liver metastases but also caused subacute thyroiditis. The woman achieved complete remission after 24 cycles of pembrolizumab and continued to undergo regular CT scans for almost two years. [Extracted from the article]
