Multiple drugs: Various toxicities and lack of efficacy: 5 case reports.

A retrospective review of electronic medical records identified five patients who developed Mycobacterium tuberculosis infections and cytokine release syndrome (CRS) during treatment with CAR T-cell therapy for various types of lymphoma and leukemia. The patients experienced tuberculosis in different organs, including the lungs, central nervous system, mediastinal lymph nodes, subcutaneous tissue, and bone. They also exhibited lack of efficacy with certain tuberculosis treatments. The cases highlight the potential toxicities and lack of efficacy associated with CAR T-cell therapy and other drugs used in the treatment of lymphoma and leukemia. [Extracted from the article]
