Abstract

This article highlights the need for more research and public health interventions on dengue fever in Burkina Faso. The country has been heavily affected by malaria, with high rates of child mortality, but dengue fever has been overlooked. The lack of scientific evidence, entomological knowledge, public information, and health worker training on dengue fever is concerning. The article calls for population surveys, entomological studies, improved surveillance systems, health worker training, vector control interventions, and public information campaigns to address the problem of dengue fever in Burkina Faso.
