Abstract

This article discusses the skin toxicity of enfortumab vedotin (EV), an antibody-drug conjugate used to treat urothelial carcinoma. The study found that skin adverse effects were reported in half of the patients, with severe eruptions occurring in 15% of cases. The authors propose a specific management algorithm to help oncologists recognize, classify, and manage skin adverse effects associated with EV use. The algorithm includes recommendations for dermatological consultation, skin biopsy, and the use of topical or oral treatments. The article emphasizes the importance of medical oncologists being well-trained in EV-related dermatological toxicity and highlights the need for a multidisciplinary approach in managing these adverse effects.
