A Global Perspective on Performance Poetry: Through the Web – From American Performance to Romanian Poetic Practices.

American Performance poetry influenced the way in which the practice developed in other countries. Contemporary African, Japanese, and Arab poets started to write more and more for the stage. Eastern Europe seems to have been highly influenced by this practice. In this paper, I will try to investigate how American Performance poetry managed to influence the Romanian Spoken Word scene.
