Abstract

The issues of violations in operation of the technical means of electric trains are considered, the most unreliable components and parts are identified, which to a large extent negatively affect the operation of the multiple unit rolling stock as a whole. The main causes of premature failures of batteries have been established, as one of the most unreliable devices on electric trains. The design, the principle of operation of the storage battery, its functions and the causes of premature failure are given. As a method for improving the reliability of batteries, the authors offer the use of the device that can improve the reliability of this node by eliminating the main causes of failures, the diagram and principle of operation are explained, and the features of the offered unit are revealed. Particular attention is paid to the adjustment characteristics of the offered device, its main functions and advantages in its use are revealed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
