Kvalitet meda na području grada Bugojna – SBK/KSB.

This research was carried out in order to characterize the quality of honey in the area of the city of Bugojno. For this purpose, two (2) types of honey were sampled: honey from honey bee and meadow honey from three (3) different locations in the area of the city of Bugojno: Vrbanja-Kandija, Kula-Bristovi and Poriće-Ždralovići. The pastures of the mentioned areas are separated by approx. 8 km. The honey samples were taken in the period July-August 2022, when the honey was produced. All samples were taken in accordance with the applicable legal regulations. The analysis was done in accordance with EU standards and in accordance with the Rulebook on methods for the control of honey and other bee products (Official Gazette of BiH" 37/09, 2011. The parameters were determined; electrical conductivity, content of mineral substances, free acids, moisture/water, sucrose, invert sugar, hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF). One part of the laboratory tests was done in the laboratory Control H - Mostar, (water, sucrose, invert sugar and HMF), the other part of the laboratory tests was done in the laboratory of the Institute of Natural Sciences, Faculty of Education, University "Džemal Bijedić" in Mostar. According to the obtained results, the following comment can be made: 1. The research results show a significant level of values of the tested parameters, except values determined for hydroxymethylfurfural where the level of HMF presence is low. 2. The content of hydroxymethylfurfural in the examined localities ranged from (0.602 mg/kg) to (2,500 mg/kg). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
