Abstract

A vertically oscillating plate with a temperature difference and mass diffusion is used to investigate the role of thermal radiation and chemical reaction in the unexpected convection flow of a viscous unstable rotating fluid. The results of the calculations indicate that the fluid is a grey medium that absorbs and emits radiation. With time, both the plate's and the surrounding environment's temperatures and concentrations rise. The Laplace transform method finds solutions to the dimensionless governing equations for a plate, which is oscillating in its own plane. In relation to one another, the phase angle, radiation parameter, Schmidt number, thermal Grashof number, mass Grashof number, and time are all investigated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
