Abstract

This text aims to present a theoretical path that leads to a possible answer to the problem of representation in writing acquisition. To do so, in addition to the introduction and conclusion, the article is organized into two sections. The second section readdresses the perspectives of Ferreiro (1985) and Borges (2006) about the representational issue in the child's formation as a writer. In the third section, we present an enunciative-semiological perspective in this regard, a perspective according to which the passage from iconic writing to linguistic writing involves, in the process of becoming a person who writes, self-semiotization as a speech-writing semiological representation and self-reference as a language-reality enunciative representation. In this passage from the icon to the letter, what was written and writing itself become more complex, a complexification that extends to the writing in the child's constitution, that which already goes through their most established speech: the articulated and significant nature of the language, as well as the foundation of abstraction and the principle of creative imagination.
