- Colman Domingo, an actor known for his roles in films like "Rustin" and "The Color Purple," is making history as one of the first openly gay Black movie stars. In "Rustin," Domingo plays Bayard Rustin, a pioneering organizer of the 1963 March on Washington. In "The Color Purple," he portrays Mister, the abusive husband of the main character. Domingo's performances have earned him critical acclaim and recognition in the entertainment industry.
