Abstract
- This article discusses two separate studies on the diastereoselective cross-dehydrogenative coupling reactions of amides with diarylmethanes. The first study focuses on the use of 2,3-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone (DDQ) as an oxidant, while the second study explores the use of a chiral-auxiliary technique. Both studies demonstrate the successful synthesis of various products with high yields and diastereoselectivities. The findings provide valuable insights into the development of efficient approaches for these reactions, and further research is being conducted to explore the scope of other nucleophiles in this reaction.
