Abstract

The article reports on the beatification of the Ulma family, who were murdered by the Nazis in 1944. Józef and Wiktoria Ulma, along with their children, were executed for hiding eight Jews in their home. It also mentions the upcoming canonization of María Antonia de Paz y Figueroa, known as Mama Antula, who will become Argentina's first saint in 2024. Mama Antula was a consecrated laywoman who promoted spiritual exercises in the poor regions of northeastern Argentina. Additionally, it highlights the beatification of twenty Sevillian martyrs who were killed during the Spanish Civil War and the beatification of Monsignor Eduardo Pironio, considered one of the "fathers of the Latin American Church."
