Abstract

This article in the Russian Journal of Bioorganic Chemistry discusses the synthesis and antibacterial activity of 5-alkyloxymethyl derivatives of 2'-deoxyuridine. The compounds were synthesized through various chemical reactions and their structures were confirmed using spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Some derivatives showed inhibitory effects on the growth of Micrococcus luteus. This research contributes to the development of new antibacterial drugs and provides insights into the mechanism of action of modified nucleosides.
