Abstract
- This letter, published in the Annals of Hematology, discusses a case of leukemic non-nodal mantle cell lymphoma (LNN-MCL) in a woman in her 70s. LNN-MCL is characterized by abnormal B-cells in the blood and bone marrow, without significant lymphadenopathy. Typically, LNN-MCL is associated with the overexpression of cyclin D1 protein, but in this case, the patient had a rearrangement of the CCND3 gene instead. The authors highlight the challenges in diagnosing cyclin D1-negative LNN-MCL, as it can be mistaken for other types of lymphoma. The case also revealed mutations in TP53 and ARID1A genes, indicating disease progression. This is the first reported case of MCL involving a cavernous hemangioma. [Extracted from the article]
