Medical records are a goldmine for Data Analytics companies to gain better insight into patient trends, diseases and customer behavior which can in turn be used to provide greater outpatient care. Most of the data collected for these purposes comes from health records of patients from different hospitals. Although this process covers a substantial amount of data points, it overlooks an important sub-routine of every healthcare record-Medicine Prescription. The aim of the work is to put forward a paper that discusses the possibility of automating the process of getting a medicine i.e. from receiving a doctor's prescription; to the point of sale/delivery. The prescription data can be stored in proper warehouses to run analytics on and sell the insights to players in the Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
