Estudio de la representación de identidad nacional y estereotipos a partir de las visualidades cinematográficas en: A tus espaldas, Ratas Ratones Rateros y Pescador.

This research analyzes the variation of identity and stereotype represented by the protagonists of these three Ecuadorian films, studying how these films propose an idea of national identity where identification, image and stereotype prevail. A tus espaldas, Ratas, Ratones Rateros y El Pescador is the object of study, so I carry out a film analysis of the scenes that I consider of vital importance to understand the different representations of identity, based on concepts of culture, representation, stereotype, cinema, identification and identity, inferring how these concepts affect the behavior and conduct of the Ecuadorian mountain and coastal mestizo. Within the objective, the theoretical understanding of identity and the interpretation of the proposal of cinema to represent national identity stands out, therefore, definitions and notes on debates on identity are addressed, accompanied by the visual analysis of the selection of scenes., which is considered that identity is at stake, building the theoretical position, and highlighting the representation of identity.
