Abstract

Stunting is one of developing countries' most common health problems, especially in rural areas. One of the obstacles' regarding stunting is the lack of knowledge and information about it. Technology advancement helps disseminate information about stunting to rural communities using mobile phone applications. This study is conducted to examine digital literacy on health applications related to stunting. The result of this study will give an insight into whether IT application helps rural settlers to reduce stunting. Mixed research methods are used to obtain complete data on digital health literacy. The location for this study is Sepat Village, Masaran District, Sragen Regency, Central Java. This location was chosen based on the proximity to Surakarta City and it is assumed that the rural communities are not more literate regarding information about stunting from digital media. The respondent consists of the housewives in Sepat Village, regarded as the group that should be exposed to digital health literacy about stunting issues. The expected result indicated that the digital health literacy of rural communities about stunting applications is sufficient. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
