Abstract

The reaction of DyCl3 with two equivalents of [Li(THF)n]2[DADMe2] [DADMe2 = 2,6-Pri2C6H3NC(Me)· C(Me)NC6H3Pri2-2,6] affords the ate-complex [Li(THF)4][Dy(DADMe2)2] in 71% yield. X-Ray analysis revealed that this complex presents a separated ion pair in which the Dy3+ ion is coordinated by two dianionic ene-diamide ligands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
