Abstract

This paper aims to analyze internal and external factors and formulate a development strategy for corn-goats integration technology. The location of RPIK study was carried out in Deli Serdang Regency from June to December 2021. Interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), observation, and documentation were employed in the data-gathering process. SWOT analysis was used to assess the data that was obtained. The study's findings demonstrated that the corn-goat integration technique, which is based on the internal matrix factor showed a positive (+) value greater strengths (S) 1.34 than weaknesses (W) 0.09. The external factor matrix shows that the opportunities value (O) is 1.35 greater than the value of the threats (T) is 1.26. Determination of the appropriate strategy, namely by implementing a Strategy (SO) utilizing corn biomass for feed and providing technical support in the form of (silage, hay, complete feed), an integrated corn-goat farming system for commercial use, utilization of urine and solid goat manure as organic fertilizer, multiply legumes and superior grasses, introduce good and correct procedures for feeding, reproduction, and placement of livestock in cages, form cooperatives, institutions and partnerships between corn farmers and goat farmer.
