Abstract

This article discusses the use of an endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) for the resection of anterior skull base tumors in young children. Traditionally, these tumors have been treated with open craniotomy, but the EEA has become more common in pediatric patients. The article reviews a retrospective study of ten patients aged 5 or younger who underwent EEA for tumor resection. The results showed that the EEA was safe and effective, with successful reconstruction of the skull base in all cases. Further research is needed to evaluate the EEA in this population.
