Some effects of population interaction on a multi-population SIRC epidemiological model.

In this work, we analyze the spread of an infectious disease in a not necessarily homogeneous multipopulation that interacts and is distributed in a discrete two-dimensional lattice (network) that acquires only partial immunity to the circulating stain. We use the solution properties of the proposed model to motivate the effects of including space in the dynamics. We show that the dynamics is largely influenced by the topology of the interactions between the different populations. The theoretical results are investigated numerically. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
