Abstract

In this research, an antenna that has the right amount of sensitivity is built in a specific rural location to receive most television channels without any loss in image quality. Using MATLAB, the antenna is to be built and simulated in selected parameters. The antenna is built using the Biconical and Pyramidal Horn-based Yagi-Uda antenna scheme. For the rural location, the specifically chosen one was ensured to be far from the stations, wherein it can be said that the people in that area cannot receive the TV channel to watch those programs. To combat this demographic exclusion, this paper aims to build and simulate an antenna for that area. As a result of this paper, the desired antenna is successfully built which covers all of the objectives under the given necessary conditions. To have a little problem with demography, the Yagi-Uda antenna is built in a simple design. Being able to build the desired antenna, this paper shows that real-world problems such as lack of reception can be solved using practical equipment such as the Yagi-Uda antenna.
