Abstract
- This review paper presents the behavior of reinforced concrete beams strengthened with Near Surface Mounted (NSM) technology bonded with epoxy resins, as well as their importance in improving the torsional performance of reinforced concrete beams under pure torsion or combined loading. After learning about the method's effectiveness in increasing the shear and flexural strength of reinforced concrete beams, the findings improved the torsional behavior of the strengthened beams to varying degrees. The torsional behavior of the beams strengthened with CFRP ropes was superior to those reinforced with CFRP laminate. In comparison to test beams reinforced with NSM steel bars, those with CFRP wrapping displayed superior augmentation in the ultimate torsional moment. presenting convincing proof that the torsional performance parameters of torsional moment bearing capacity, torsional stiffness, angle, and crack limit may be enhanced.
