Abstract

Frequency domain terahertz spectroscopy usually requires frequency scanning, which is quite time-consuming. In this work, we propose a new method to measure the terahertz spectra without scanning, which is based on a terahertz parametric generator and up-conversion detection system. Comparison is made between the terahertz transmission spectra measured by this method and by terahertz time domain spectroscopy (THz-TDS). In the range of 1 to 3 THz, all the absorption peaks observed on the THz-TDS spectra are also found on the spectra obtained by our method. The method has the potential to be single-shot and calibration-free. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
