Abstract
- In a real-world experience in Sweden, a patient with relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) developed cytokine release syndrome (CRS) during treatment with teclistamab. The patient also showed a lack of efficacy when given prophylactic treatment with paracetamol, dexamethasone, and an unspecified antihistamine for CRS. The patient was hospitalized and received step-up doses of teclistamab, but despite prophylactic treatment, developed grade 2 CRS. The teclistamab treatment was discontinued and the patient was treated with tocilizumab, which eventually resolved the CRS. The patient was able to resume teclistamab treatment.
