Abstract
- Nightflowers is a 30-minute audiovisual installation by author Claire-Louise Bennett, in collaboration with photographer Mark Walsh, exhibited at the Museum of Literature Ireland in Dublin. The installation explores the (un)conscious mind of a woman through a stream of consciousness narrative, projected black-and-white images, and Bennett's voiceover. The work creates a visceral and sensory experience, contrasting with the silent written works of James Joyce and Samuel Beckett displayed in the museum. Bennett's installation adds a contemporary female perspective to the historically male-dominated literary canon and pushes the boundaries of fictional storytelling. [Extracted from the article]
