Abstract
- This article considers the fundamental possibility of identifying the kinetic characteristics of a reactor under quasi-stationary operating conditions by observing its power fluctuations under the influence of controlled changes in reactivity, as well as the possibility of optimal stabilization of reactor power. The analysis is carried out under conditions where the reactor reactivity and measurement of its power are influenced by disturbing perturbations in the form of uncontrolled random processes. A point kinetics model of the reactor with a single group of delayed neutrons and instantaneous power feedback is used. Examples are presented that illustrate the proposed identification method and the effectiveness of the optimal controller. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
