Abstract
- This article explores the use of a combination of ezetimibe and rosuvastatin in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) to assess its impact on insulin sensitivity and vascular inflammation. While statins have been effective in reducing cholesterol levels and cardiovascular risk, T2DM patients still face significant risks. The study found that the combination therapy effectively reduced LDL-cholesterol levels but did not provide additional benefits in terms of insulin sensitivity or vascular inflammation. However, further research is needed to confirm the effects of this combination therapy on T2DM patients. [Extracted from the article]
