Abstract

The human-machine relationship has been undergoing dynamic changes for several decades. However, the spectacular successes testifying to the state of development of artificial intelligence today give them the meaning of radical changes, entering new areas of human activity, causing new wave of fascination and fear at the same time. The article aims at showing the transformation of intelligence and its possible ways of conceptualisation. For this purpose, the author shows the superintelligence concept, which is related to research on artificial intelligence and the philosophy of transhumanism. It is a theory placing the belief in technological progress at the centre. For this purpose, the concept of superintelligence, related to research on artificial intelligence and the philosophy of transhumanism, was presented. This perspective emphasizes the belief in positively valued technological progress and tries to transcend the limits of the human condition through the development of computational science and machines. The article also introduces the changes in the understanding of the term "intelligence" that accompanied the development of the field of research on artificial intelligence. The author reflects on recent communication changes related to the dissemination of conversational agents (Alexa, Siri) and chatbots using Large Language Models (ChatGPT3, Lamda), as well as on the meaning of the duel between man and machine (chess, go).
