Abstract
- Novel CdIn 2 S 4 nanoparticles@MoS 2 microrods (CNPs@MMRs) heterojunction photocatalysts were synthesized via a facile solvothermal method. The photocatalytic properties of CNPs@MMRs composites for H 2 generation were more prominent than those of the pure CdIn 2 S 4 and MoS 2. Among, CNPs@MMRs-40 exhibited the maximum H 2 evolution efficiency of 539 μmol g−1 h−1. Moreover, CNPs@MMRs-40 possessed excellent photochemical stability during 4 cycles of photocatalytic reactions. CdIn 2 S 4 nanoparticles were intimately decorated on the surface of MoS 2 microrods, which strengthened the absorption of visible light, facilitated the migration and separation of charge carriers. Consequently, photocatalytic efficiency of CNPs@MMRs composite was dramatically enhanced. • A novel CdIn 2 S 4 nanoparticles@MoS 2 microrods (CNPs@MMRs) heterojunction was fabricated. • CNPs@MMRs displayed boosted photocatalytic H 2 evolution performance under visible light. • Charges separation and transport were facilitated at the heterojunction interface.
