The article focuses on investigating sex-related differences in the lateral pterygoid muscle (LPM) characteristics in patients with anterior disk displacement (ADD), highlighting higher fat infiltration and fibrotic tendencies in female patients compared to males. Topics include the need for clarification regarding the presence of bruxism in the studied patients, that demographic information about bruxism could enhance the understanding of the impact of temporomandibular joint disorders.
