Abstract
- The article discusses the importance of interprofessional (IP) education to physical therapy (PT) students. Topics explored include the opportunity for PT students to learn about the role and practice of other health care professions, the inclusion of IP activities in the PT programs of the Medical University of South Carolina, and the endorsement of the core competencies developed by Interprofessional Education Collaborative (IPEC) by the American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT).
