Abstract

The research aims to reveal the relationship and influence between strategic foresight through its sub-dimensions and the strategic initiative at the level of an intentional sample of officers working in the Najaf Police Command, based on a major problem that was diagnosed with several questions that included the extent of awareness of the relationship and influence between variables in the field. On the model ((Paliokaite.et.al, 2014:164, Amniattalap, 2016:8)) to measure strategic foresight, which consists of three dimensions: (environmental survey capabilities, strategic choice capabilities, and integration capabilities) and a model (Podrug, et al. 2022 2) To measure the strategic initiative, which included four main dimensions (top management support, networks, innovation, and independence). The researcher used the field survey method by distributing two questionnaires. The first was distributed to a sample of (133) officers who hold positions (Directorate Director, Section Director, Division Director). The number of questionnaires valid for statistical analysis was (122). The analysis was conducted based on a number of statistical methods such as the SPSS v26 and SMART PLS programs. The research then reached a set of statistical results represented by the existence of a correlation and a significant (positive) effect of strategic foresight in the strategic initiative, and this means that the perception of the officers in the research sample The concept of strategic foresight will contribute to building the strategic initiative, which will be reflected in its organizational performance.
