Abstract
- This letter is a response to an article titled "Prognostic and Clinical Significance of Human Leukocyte Antigen Class I Expression in Breast Cancer: A Meta-Analysis." The authors of the letter congratulate the original authors on their comprehensive meta-analysis but suggest some points for further discussion. They recommend registering the protocol of systematic reviews or meta-analyses in an international database, providing a table of quality assessment for eligible studies, stratifying the studies into "triple-negative breast cancer" and "non-TNBC" groups, and explaining the potential sources of heterogeneity. The authors believe that the meta-analysis provides evidence that HLA class I may serve as a prognostic indicator for breast cancer and could contribute to BC immunotherapy.
