Abstract

Pantheon Books has acquired the North American rights to "Defectors: The Rise of the Latino Far Right" by Paola Ramos, a book that explores the origins and rise of conservative sentiment among the growing Latino population in the United States. Algonquin Books has taken North American rights to "The Good Indian," a memoir by Elaine Yellow Horse, which offers a searing indictment of the U.S. justice system and a powerful vision for restorative justice and Indigenous healing. Graywolf has acquired world rights to "The Rose," a poetry collection by Ariana Reines, and Lake Union Publishing has signed a four-book deal with Catherine Ryan Hyde. Other deals include mystery series by Gillian French, a novel by Lotte Jeffs, a speculative fiction book by Nikki Eriick, a book on neurodivergent thinking by David Flink, a health book by Adam Rosenbluth, a thriller by Meredith Lavender and Kendall Shores, a treatise on autism by Eric Garcia, and an adult debut novel by Kristina Pérez.
