Abstract
- An interview with American poet and writer Amiri Baraka is presented. Topics discussed include Baraka's use and definition of the word digging in his book "Digging: The Afro-American Soul of American Classical Music," comedian Bill Cosby's devotion to music and the music in Baraka's household and childhood. Also discussed are Baraka's schoolmates at Howard University and his encounter with professor, poet, folklorist and literary critic Sterling Allen Brown.
