Tra le insidie della socializzazione digitale: il fenomeno dell’hate speech online.

The paper draws attention to the pervasiveness of online hate speech in the social web, meaning all oppressive and discriminatory forms of expression and socialization. The recent data report a strong polarization and radicalization of the phenomenon. In this perspective, as recommended in some documents issued by the European Institutions, we highlight the need for networking that starts from strengthening the skills of training professionals necessary to know how to prevent and counter the phenomenon, creating "bottom-up" experiences that through the constructs of media education and peer education can promote the development of digital citizenship skills and belonging to a global humanity in favor of the protection of human rights.
