Abstract

The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, an ancient Indian text, has increasingly become a subject of interest across various disciplines. Understanding the scholarly trends, themes, and collaborations is vital for comprehending the evolution and impact of research on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. The inclusion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods adds an innovative dimension to this analysis. Method: This study employs bibliometric analysis utilizing AI-based tools on 239 articles indexed in the Web of Science database, covering the period from 1907 to 2023. The analysis involves assessing publication trends, author keywords, geographic distribution, co-authorship, and citation analysis using various bibliometric tools including biblioshiny and Vos Viewer software. Additionally, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and machine learning algorithms have been utilized to further enhance the depth of analysis by identifying hidden patterns and relationships within the text. Results: The research revealed an annual growth rate of 2% in publications, with 462 contributing authors and 8,745 cited references. A Sankey diagram depicted key themes such as motivation, leadership, and self-efficacy, with "project management" emerging as a prominent keyword. The United States was identified as the most significant contributor with 261 articles, followed by India with 50. JOHAR GV and TAASOOBSHIRAZI G were the most impactful authors based on h-index, g-index, and m-index. Journal of Consumer Research emerged as the principal source, and a considerable network of international collaborations was observed, with the United States serving as the central node. The AI-enhanced analysis further revealed intricate semantic relationships and thematic clusters which were not immediately apparent through conventional bibliometric methods. Conclusion: This bibliometric analysis, augmented with AI tools, offers valuable insights into the scholarly landscape of research on the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita. The study reveals the multidisciplinary nature of the research, with themes crossing over into management, psychology, and social work. Additionally, it illuminates the global relevance and interest in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, with extensive international collaborations. The application of AI methods has enriched the analysis, unearthing deeper patterns and connections within the research. These findings are instrumental for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in integrating ancient wisdom into contemporary domains with the aid of AI-driven analytics.
