Federation University nursing students had field experience in health promotion activities in resource constrained settings of Indonesia.

The article presents the highlights of the 'Public Health Study Abroad Program Indonesia 2024' that was conducted by Federation University Australia in January to help nursing students in learning the concept of public health at individual and community levels. Also cited are the importance of sociocultural factors as determinants of health and wellbeing and how the Australian students interacted with patients and healthcare providers in primary and tertiary hospitals in Indonesia.
