Abstract
- Emerging technologies in smart wearables hold great potential to enhance people's day-to-day health by facilitating self-monitoring of physical activities. The research with these devices is in its early stages. In this research paper, using the expectation-confirmation theory (ECT), along with conformity, performance expectancy, and satisfaction, we investigated the factors that influence the intention to use continuously. Based on a sample of 678 smart wearable users, collected from Northern India, we have used structural equation modelling (Smart PLS4) and identified the impact of satisfaction post adoption technology, Habit to wear, data privacy and health information accuracy on the continuing intention of smart-wearable users. According to the findings, consumer satisfaction, health information accuracy, and data privacy are key variables that have a significant influence on the long-term intention to use smart wearables. This study has many implications for smartwatch manufacturers and designers looking to increase users' intent to continue using their products. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
