Abstract
- The article focuses on defining New Thai Cinema as a cinematic movement through the filmographies of four main directors: Nonzee Nimibutr, Pen-ek Ratanaruang, Wisit Sasanatieng, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul. It reports that these directors' works reflect different themes, genres, and styles while opposing dominant conceptions and advocating for freedom of expression in Thailand, ultimately changing the history of Thai cinema.
